So sometimes life makes sense and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes God is so close you can feel His breath and sometimes you feel you can't find Him no matter how hard you search. I don't promise to have all the answers, but it still might be fun!

If we are indifferent to the art of dancing, we have failed to understand, not merely the supreme manifestation of physical life, but also the supreme symbol of spiritual life. - Havelock Ellis
Sometimes I can't think of a single reason why I should be an officer, but I can think of a thousand reasons why I should quit. They make it hard on purpose... there are lives in our hands. There comes a moment when it's more than just a game, and you either take that step forward or turn around and walk away. I could quit, but here's the thing, I love the fight.(Adpated from Grey's Anatomy)

Where would you do your study? Canada? Or are you thinking you will come back to Australia, eventually. How does officer training come into it? I think it would be great for you to study theology. If you don't start a full on degree straight away, you could always see if there are something like general public classes (you know, like '6 weeks on old testament prophecy', or whatever). Its better than nothing, but I suppose its Gods decision in the end anyway.
Umm, the plan would probably be to study here. Appparently there is a really good college here that I could go to. I can do it by correspondance so the idea would be to start it, and then see what happens. I figure I could transfer it if I go to training college and just keep doing it there (I would have been working on a Masters in Aus anyway). So I'd enrol, pick up some subjects and see how it goes.
dear rebecca,
may i suggest talking to the officer training school as to which courses they would see as helpful for your future plans in the army? this way, you will not be repeating courses when you go. and you never know, they may have some GREAT suggestions anyway!

Sounds pretty rockin' to me! I say go for it, God has gifted you in that knowledge arena and I think you would flourish being able to study again. Think of all the possibilities God could open up, you can't go wrong when you're learning more about God and the intricacies of His design! Which college are you looking at?
Umm, well I will probably do some studies through our training college (mainly because they are cheaper) but if I do studies here (which I might still do, but only for mid-year entry) then I think I will go to Regent. It doesn't mean anything to me, but apparently it is pretty good.
